Carmel of St. Joseph Monastery
The Carmel of St. Joseph Monastery is an 18,500 sq.ft. working monastery situated in the farming community of Armstrong, BC. Built entirely through the generous donations of private citizens, the building is a mix of both private and public space. The Monastery was designed and built to meet the needs of the Sisters daily lives from their sleeping quarters to their Chapel. Green technology has been used throughout the building, from energy efficient lighting to the use of geothermal heating and cooling. Landing Construction Ltd. has managed the construction of many large structures from churches to government buildings and is quite comfortable in a Construction Management position.
